Overview

Take a very ‘green’  and scenic tuk-tuk ride into the mountains as you drive over small waterfalls and through Rubber and Tea plantations, interspaced with wet jungles. Your destination – Sandun Ella, a 105 ft picturesque waterfall hidden in the heart of the mountain. The name ‘Sandun Ella’ comes from a Sandalwood tree (‘Sandun’ Tree) that used to grow beside this cascading beauty adding fragrance to its splendour.

Today the waterfall provides more than just beauty as the 100 ft verticle drop sets the tone for a demanding waterfall abseiling. The serenity and the awe inspired in you, as you breathe in the vistas from the summit of the fall and look down upon a sea of green mountains and valleys, is quickly turned to a wonderful sense of thrill when you take that first step down the edge of the cliff. Scream out in joy into the valley as you climb down the cliff with a waterfall cascading all over you.

As with all adventure sports that WALKING WITH WOLVES offer, your safety is of paramount importance to us. We use the latest high-quality equipment to facilitate this activity and you will be geared up and checked before the start of the activity. You will also receive a thorough safety briefing as well as a proper demonstration from our experienced instructors. They will ensure all measures are taken to ensure your safety as you have the time of your life!

Location

Kithulgala

Kithulgala is easily the adventure sports capital of Sri Lanka. It is a quaint little town by the banks of the Kelani river, which is surrounded by mountains that give birth to many streams and waterfalls. Lush green forests, as well as tea and rubber plantations, occupy the vistas wherever you choose to roam. The terrain is ideal for many sports such as White water rafting, canyoning, abseiling, rock climbing, cycling, hiking & trekking. The rainforests here are home to an abundance of wildlife especially endemic birds, making it a bird watchers paradise as well.
